Pushed to the brink
Collaging together images from the news, or... the reflections of people to the news they have heard of read, they feel like they have been pushed to the brink but it really is only thinking, the news was about doing but it was not their doings, so they were not pushed to the brink themselves. They may, at some point or other, be pushed to the brink then they can be in the news but perhaps they should wait before they say they were pushed to the brink.
