And so we carry on, best laid plans and all that. Here we were, we had extended the expended the effort we had to offer, we had appealed to those in a better position to take an action to find a resolution but, and here we cannot be prejudiced by our own disappointment, no solution was found. So we will carry on, we will do our best but our best will be disappointing, it will be disappointing to ourselves and it will be disappointing to others. But perhaps we still have hope, a straw of hope.
A male nude figure with leaves and other words, or... It is interesting considering unpopular plans. Plans, that is, that will make us unpopular in the herd, the pariah, perhaps even the banished. And if the herd is the important issue, why would we ever do something that is unpopular, even if we think it is right. Surely what is right is what is right by consensus, and this what is right is, mostly, what is popular. Oh dear, see the trouble this discussion gets us into.
