Purely decorative
It was a beautiful thing, I hear there are fewer people than ever who understands the skill of dry stone walling but the rarity does not make it more beautiful, the beauty lies in the lines and shapes and the intricate patterns that naturally form. What the sculptor had done was highlighted the beauty of the dry stone wall by keeping them in the field but making their function purely decorative. I liked this, pure decoration.
