Eating slow food slowly

Shift, change position, one step to the left.  Everyone together now...  This note is about how difficult simple changes can throw everything out of kilter so dramatically, and so quickly.  I have listened to the evidence and the change I would like to make this week is to eat my meals slower.  To take a sip of water between each mouthful, to put my fork down on the plate more often.  To ensure that the plate of food I have served myself lasts more than twenty minutes to give my stomach time to tell my head I am full.  Of course the first step I need to make is to change the habit of snacking into the habit of eating a proper meal.
