039 :: Letter
Dearest Sister
Day five and today I report that everything is just right in London. Nothing is out of place. Nothing is anything less than wonderful. The air is fresh with a light hint of sterile. The weather is delightful though I know that will change here as it does everywhere. I am sure here they will clean up after the storm so much more efficiently than elsewhere. Yet there is a little melancholy about it all being so idyllic. But for me for now I think the loveliness of London is here just to be enjoyed.
The gym knows exactly how fit you are and gives you the perfect routine. The shops know who you are and automatically bring your groceries to you. The food here is very tasty and fresh. They must spend a fortune getting it here. Remember when we talked we thought it would be bland but it is not. It has finely balanced flavours. Not what we normally eat but good.
I met one of the neighbours today. An au pair and an artist from Africa. I know what you are thinking but when you are travelling things are different. He was friendly and totally amazing. I will share his art with you as soon as I send this note. It is only a short note today as I fell asleep on the sofa and am going to bed for real now.
