At eight Naomi checked her Skroll. Jack was in his house. She dressed. Same clothes she had worn in the day. It suited her colour. It showed her body. She was fresh. Fresh but the same.. She put on eyeliner. Nothing more.
Eight thirty. She checked. Jack was in his house. She put on her ehhlies. She sat on the bed.
Eight thirty five. Jack moved. He came out of his house. Naomi left her house. She held the door for a moment before closing it. She smiled.
She waved to Jack as she came down the road. He held up his hand. He ducked back into his garden. He was back at the gate when she got there. He kissed her. On the lips. A quick kiss. A greeting kiss that promised more. He held up a finger. One minute. He went inside. He came out with his drive wheel. He bent down. He pressed her shoes. Her ehhlies opened. He pressed his open. He untethered his drive wheel. He tied the strap to his left hand. He stepped behind her. He reached around her. Held her tight.
Here we go. (Jack)
He accelerated the drive wheel. They wobbled. They rode together. Jack held her tightly. Her back pressed against his chest. His body curved. His groin pressed against her bum. Pushing her. They sped up. Faster than she had ridden alone. She was tense. Jack weaved a little. Pulled her one way then the other. She lagged. A nervous laugh. Jack pulled his feet outside hers. Slowed enough to do a circle. She laughed. A happy laugh. He sped up again. Leaning her into corners. They were not on the high street any more. They turned. They turned again. Sometimes backing up on themselves. They dived into a tunnel. Naomi screamed. The scream echoed. Naomi whooped.
They were off camera. Mostly. Just fleeting images of them at the end of a road. They weaved and twisted through alleys. Fleeting images from a doorbell. A blur crossing a road. They stopped at a row of studios. In the arches of a railway line. On camera. An old camera. Low resolution. Retro CCTV style. But still active. Jack patted down his pockets. Searched his pockets. Slapped his head. Mimed opening a Skroll. Naomi held up her Skroll. He led out his hand. Smiled. Shrugged. She leant against him. He tapped out a message. They waited.
