The naked slight man with the HARE masks gets confused when remembering a particularly vivid dream from the night before. The confusion is about what memories were from the dream and what memories were from reality, both the dream and the day before feel the same, both feel like memories.
The naked slight man with the HARE mask has never asked anyone if they remember dreams as memories, instead simply assuming that people don't think in the same way and that people would make memories differently. This is a foolish position really, the whole point about language is to convey understanding of the shared experience, there would be no point in language if there were no possibility of shared experience.
The naked slight man with the HARE mask wonders why there has only been one of any animal. One eagle. One fox. One lion. One dog. One tortoise. Will there be a room with dozens of HARES. Will they be a tribe. A family. Will they get to feast, and laugh, and frollick? Will they know each other and feel at home? Will it be an end to this constant feeling of displacement?
The naked slight man with the HARE mask is beginning to get unhappy with the feeling of uncertainty this house gives.
And the tannoy announces: THE DOG AND THE HARE SHALL COMMENCE IN FIVE MINUTES.
Christ, was one run not enough?
