Stuck in disappointment

And I found myself on that card with a clear view over my position.  I had dressed for the occassion with the finest of presentations I had available and I was left with the feeling: is this really all.  And I could look at the twists and turns along my past, and the choices I made loaded with their if onlys, the successes and regrets and I am overwhelmed by the dissonance between where I am and what I hoped for.  And I wonder are my only choices between being disappointed or feeling stuck.
