The idea and the thing
To the left of this queen are the idea, my ideas, your ideas, the idea of ideas. To the right of this queen is the thing, my things, your things, the substance of thing. This queen, like a therapist, or a well written book, marries the idea and the thing, marries the thing and the idea. If we are brave, you and I, we will embrace this queen, we will allow this queen to make our ideas and our things shake hands, be together, live together. I hope we are brave as it is so easy to look away and, as time slips away, we find that that was the idea, and this is the thing and together they were not seen, old man.
