Red Riding Hood Reflection

Often read as a card of deceit or betrayal.  A person with a tricksterish gait has five swords in hand steals off, glancing over the shoulder lest caught and found out as a theif.

Often interpreted as a warning there is some trickery afoot amongst our colleagues and lovers but can also be thought of as an invitation to examine ourselves for red flags showing where we are not being honest with ourselve, where we are tricking ourselves and not confronting the difficult.

It is worthwhile contemplating for a moment are we playing the role of Red Riding Hood ignoring the obvious danger signals of hairy claws, suspicious eyes and glinting teeth and drawing closer and closer to Grandma's bed.  Worthwhile taking a moment to examine if our approach to relationships is outdated and lazy, little more than a matter of habit.  It is important to understand what drives the urge to forge relationships that are supporting and equal.
