The slight man stood on the corner for a long time, well over ten minutes. He was always early, a habit instilled in him from his first days with twee sayings about birds and worms. What he likes about being early is it gives him time to think about all the possibilities of what might go wrong.
The slight man stood on the corner perpetually worries about what might go wrong. He remembers all the times he has said something foolish because he had not worked out all the things that might go wrong.
The slight man stood on the corner waits a little longer before lurching towards the door with a slight limp on his right leg.
