A disparaging glance
You looked over, said something to me about the news, the current event you were listening to but I didn't join in. I didn't respond because I was thinking about my thing, I asked if you could shift across a little so I could do this here. And you gave me a look. A disparaging look. Nonetheless you gave me space to do what I wanted. And within a few minutes you drifted away. And later I thought I didn't know what that disparaging look meant. And I think that after all these years surely I should know what the look means. Is not knowing that the look means something i should worry about?
